A Court House Spouter thinks that the federal government provides illegal immigrants with food, housing, and medical care and ignores the needs of American citizens. The Spouter is so far off base that he or she has left the ballpark. The fact is that illegal immigrants are prohibited by law from enrolling in most federal public benefit programs. They are granted certain rights under the Constitution, including the right to due process, to be with family, the right against unreasonable search and seizure, and the right to education. Nothing about food, housing, or health care there.
