A company that has been removing the asbestos shingles has been doing it 100% illegally for years in the county. Citizens have called the police & building inspectors & nothing is done to enforce the law & fine the law breakers. FYI: Asbestos shingles sitting on a wall are no problem, UNLESS THEY ARE BROKEN. The precise law says they MUST be removed whole, which btw, is easy. An asbestos removal company here, bashes& breaks every shingle, creating the dangerous asbestos dust & then rakes the big pieces. Contaminates the neighborhood.
