Christian Nationalists who think that our government was founded as a Christian government are so far off base that they're miles from the ballpark and hopelessly lost. Our forefathers came to America precisely to escape government-sanctioned/ government-imposed religion. Their distaste for a government that requires citizens to adhere to any particular religion is reflected in this statement: "No man shall be compelled to frequent or support any religious worship, place, or ministry ... nor shall otherwise suffer on account of his religious beliefs ..."
