The belief that procreation is the sole reason for marriage is nonsense. If it's valid, then the following individuals must not be allowed to marry: Those past child-bearing age, those who don't want children, those who, because of disease or disability, are not able to have children. Also, this dilemma is created by the believers; if a couple marry, intending to have children, but then change their minds, or suffer an illness or accident that makes it impossible for them to procreate, must they divorce? The "procreation" advocates must say "yes."
