Taxpayers deserve full transparency and accountability on any policies that provide benefits or tuition arrangements for borough employees’ children, especially if those costs are ultimately passed on to residents. People should not find out after the fact that new perks or programs may increase the burden on local taxpayers. Show up, ask direct questions about the financial impact, and demand clear answers on how these decisions are justified and funded. If this is going to affect our taxes, the public deserves to see it, understand it.
