As the new summer season opens the Cape May County Zoo will welcome thousands of visitors who will pay NOTHING for the use of this facility. If one visits the zoo you will quickly see that very very few of the park attendees are from Cape May County. The vast majority of visitors are obviously from out of town/county and perhaps country. They pay nothing while the CMC taxpayers foot the bill. It’s time to end the FREE access to the zoo. CMC families are struggling in this economy. It makes no sense for them to pay one dime of taxes for out of town visitors to the zoo. Pay up shoobies!
