As an experienced teacher, I would disagree with the LT Spouter that it is 'unfair' to make a parent feel "unworthy". In general, kids performance reflect the attitudes/values about education of their parents at home. One of the reasons CMC scores low on educational attainment is because it leans Republican, and Republicans nationwide are on the low end of schools and schooling. Republican parents influence their kids educational achievement. and school performance, and there is no point in denying it.
