As a longtime visitor & now resident, I am appalled at total lack of a Welcome Center in a town that thrives on tourism. 609 Lafayette St. is not a Welcome Center. During a recent stop, I was shocked that there were no 2026 Visitors Guides. A true Welcome Center would have visitor guides available especially to honor 175th & 50th anniversary celebrations. No brochures to promote businesses. A complete disservice to the more than 1 million visitors who come into this town each year.
