Along with the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach and birds merrily chirping we now have a new sound to enjoy in Victorian Cape May. The new nuisance noise hum from our ACE Substation. The annoying loud noise started last month just in time for 2026 tourist summer season. Is there any reason why the transformer (which stands five feet from Elmira Ave) and hums 24/7 can’t be fixed? It can be heard at night a block away! If not, we’ll just add it to the NEW CM sounds of summer.
