After the disgraceful amount of money that’s spent on elections, the next biggest problem are democrats and republicans. They compose of just over half the registered voters combined but have all the power to select candidates. On top of that usually only 20 to 30 percent of them vote in the primaries, and the rest of us are stuck with the selection. Primaries should be open to all voters, it will lead to better candidates, not those on the extreme end.
