A town wide reassessment is long overdue! Houses that have been sold in last few years are still carried at their pre sale tax price or with a minimum increase. Only new homes are assessed at the allowable rate pursuant to new properties. Resales from 2021 are basically at pre sale price with an addition of yearly increase. Any home purchased in 2021 is under assessed by at least 50%. Get the assessed valuation up to date and then pay off the debt incurred by our incompetent council and past and present mayor.
