A Spouter accuses California officials of allowing non-citizens to vote. The accusation is utter nonsense. The facts are this: Trump's Justice Department asked California officials to set aside about 20,000 mail-in ballots that the Department "suspected" had been sent to "possible" noncitizens. A federal appeals court, including a judge appointed by Trump, denied the request. In its decision the court ruled that (1) there was no definitive evidence of noncitizens voting; (2) there could be false matches in the list; and (3) to grant the request would disenfranchise lawfully registered voters.
