08/27/26: As per the article in The Herald on Upper Township approving beach tag sales for Strathmere for next summer. Another "money grab" for the township. Years back, in my town of Cape May, we "taxpayers" challenged the mayor and council as to where these "beach tag/tax" funds were going. I grew up in Cape May, and our beaches were always well maintained before the beach tag/tax fees. Where was the money going? Magically, the following year a new beach patrol headquarters was built along with a new fleet of lifeboats and wave runners! Let's see what Middle does with their new money
