05/22/26: As per the article in The Herald where Governor Mikie Sherrill has declared an emergency for farmers because of the lack of rain in April. I realize this is no fault of the governor but what of the many other government officials that have allowed the overbuilding going on everywhere in our state. The barrier islands have been overbuilt and overpopulated for years and now locally, Middle Township is planning more housing developments. Where is the water coming from to support these properties. Wells are drying up everywhere. Without common sense, this will only get worse.
