Cape May - I have long wanted to comment on ‘The Capers’ condominiums in Cape May. The fronts of the buildings are fine but the backs are plain and totally devoid of any charm. If I were the owner of the venerable and beautiful Hotel Alcott, I would be horrified. Anyone sitting or dining on the Alcott’s porch is forced to look at those buildings. Why in the world did the town allow 'The Capers' to forego any landscaping or facade work in the back that might make the place even moderately appealing? If Cape May wants to keep its reputation as quaint and charming, they better wake up.
