A friend of mine took her cat to a vet regarding a medical issue

Cape May County - A friend of mine took her cat to a vet regarding a medical issue with his tail. After spending $400 in treatment at the vet's advice, it was deemed necessary to perform surgery which would cost over $1,000. When my friend could not provide the entire amount, they denied her a payment plan and told her to either surrender the animal or take it home to basically die. Out of respect for the animal, she surrendered the cat, only to find out on Facebook he was offered for adoption. The family has young children who were heartbroken over their pet.
