Cape May - My dad, 79, has severe COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), went to the beach in late July. I drove and he handed me his "to go" permanent H plaque. He has plates, I don't. I put $5 in quarters in the meter, no smartphone, no app. We got off the beach to find a ticket! The clerk said I had an older H plaque, not a new one, hole punched. I asked, no warning, a ticket? The response was would have been $276, not $35 if it was a handicap spot! My dad just grabbed the wrong plaque! A Pennsylvania car behind us had the same plaque, no ticket, it was a Pennsylvania plaque. True hospitality for a local.
