Seaville - No wonder why teachers and school administrators don’t like standardized tests. A recent article in the Press showed the poor PARCC test results of Cape May County schools. On average, eighth-grade county students are only 48 percent proficient in English and only 32 percent proficient in math. Going on to high school, the average proficiency level of 11th-grade county students drops to only 33 percent proficient in English. When are parents going to get alarmed and concerned over the poor performance of some of our students? I love Cape May County and I know we can do better.
