West Cape May - Based on months of careful observation, I believe virtually everyone south of the Cape May Canal has learned different meanings for the various traffic and other signs posted to enforce ordinances or state traffic laws; 'Stop' really means pause and there is no requirement to stop at a 'Stop' sign if you are in a hurry. Right turn on red after a full stop is interpreted as 'Right Turn on Red' and the 'After Full Stop' portion is deleted. One way simply means traveling in one direction on a street. A speed limit is simply a suggested speed.
