Cape May - Why would Cape May allow a major house-lifting project to start during peak tourist season on one of its busiest main streets? West Perry Street has been intermittently closed to traffic, buses, pedestrians, and bicyclists. The sidewalk was closed Aug. 8. Pedestrians had to walk out into traffic! Dangerous! No police assistance. Construction vehicles have taken over dozens of parking spaces. Outdoor dining was ruined by Park Blvd. And the noise! Shouldn't these projects take place before Memorial Day or after Labor Day? Inconsiderate and ill-conceived.
