Am I supposed to stand on the Crest bike path for five minutes w

Wildwood Crest - Am I supposed to stand on the Crest bike path for five minutes with children and gear, waiting to cross to the beach access ramp? Between the five-person bikes, and all the other varieties, no one is letting children cross to get to the ramp! Furthermore, when we finally get a chance to run across, we get dirty looks and comments from those on bikes! It's almost worse than a street!
