Sea Isle City - To the spouter who thinks the Avalon beach patrol is too restrictive, unfortunately, in this litigious society, you have no choice. People think the lifeguards are their personal babysitters. Swimming in the ocean is a lot different than swimming in a pool. I feel bad for the lifeguards - it is a lot of responsibility and if something happens they will be judged and criticized. I hope you never get caught in a riptide.
