Cape May - Someone said they saw pictures after the '62 storm, along the bayside of Lower Township and there appeared to be much erosion and damage. That was 55 years ago. So, if we had built a sidewalk and developed the area for people to enjoy and be safe, it would still be there today, and should another such storm come along, I think people would be more worried about their homes, their quality of life, and their lifestyle being compromised. I see a common thread here; perhaps those people along the bay do too and for that reason, do not want the improvements, all for selfish reasons.
