Cape May Point - Trump's ridiculous wall in Texas and Arizona may soon have direct repercussions for all of Cape May County concerning the U.S. Coast Guard base in Cape May. Trump has submitted a budget request to reduce USCG funding and shift existing money to DHS wall construction to begin this year. There is now an ongoing effort to get sponsors and supporters for a big USCG festival coming in May, but we now need to do more. Voters need to now become activists by calling U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo and voicing your outrage. Perhaps Cape May officials can set up a meeting with him which is open to the public?
