North Cape May - Interesting how Trump's "fine-tuned machine" is generating the lowest approval ratings of any president in modern history, but he should take heart because Saturday Night Live's (SNL) Neilsen ratings are going through the roof in lampooning his chaotic and dysfunctional administration. While his press conference performances and television interviews have been unhinged from reality, the impersonation of him by Alec Baldwin on SNL is absolutely hysterical.
Moderator's Note:
According to a CNN article Feb. 7, "A majority, 53%, disapprove of the way the President is handling his job, according to a new CNN/ORC poll, marking the highest disapproval for a new elected president since polls began tracking those results." According to a CNN Money article Feb. 12, "'Saturday Night Live' saw yuge ratings Saturday night with President Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin as host. The NBC comedy series, which Baldwin was hosting for a record 17th time, brought in a 7.2 overnight rating, according to NBC. That is the show's highest overnight rating since 2011. ... To calculate overnight ratings, Nielsen takes the percentage of households watching in 56 US markets and comes up with an average -- in this case, the 7.2 means that 7.2% of households in these 56 markets tuned into the show Saturday night. Overnight ratings are preliminary numbers, and are subject to change as final viewership figures are calculated."
