Stone Harbor - Regarding a Feb. 1 Spout Off concerning the announcement of the Stone Harbor Police chief's retirement and the request of the chief to promote a deserving sergeant, the department has never supported the police chief. The town has never responded to his submission of his retirement letter. Maybe the new mayor, a former police officer, will give this man the respect he is due. The police department is out of control and needs a new police chief to straighten it out.
