Villas - As a Lower Township taxpayer, I would like to know why we are paying for the school police officer to drive a police car to and from his home in Middle Twp.? Are we not paying for gas, wear and tear, and insurance for this vehicle that is being used for personal use? If this officer gets in an accident with this vehicle, it will be the township's insurance that will be liable and that means you and I will be footing that bill as well as the free ride this individual has been getting. There's no reason why he needs an official vehicle to drive to and from his home.
