Wildwood - A Wildwood spouter remarked, "As a teacher, I feel it's incomprehensible how most states allow teens as young as 17, and younger elsewhere, to operate dangerous vehicles, resulting in increasing numbers of traffic fatalities ..." I am not sure how long this spouter has lived in the U.S., but lots of us in our 60s+ got our licenses at age 15, 16 or 17 depending on what state we lived in. There have always been far too many accidents involving young drivers, but after almost a century of licensing teens, I don't see any pressing justification to stop and raise the driving age.
