Sea Isle City - In regards to our town's future, I understand the necessity of a new City Hall, but at the same time I don't think we should have demolished the former city hall building. It should have been reused for an alternative purpose. According to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, "older spaces provide the distinctiveness and character that engender success. Older buildings give cities a sense of identity, history, and authenticity — which is the most important competitive advantage they can have in today’s economy." Hopefully, we preserve other town jewels like Coast Guard and 1st Bank.
