Stone Harbor - Underground wiring: It seems to be an issue that nobody wants to tackle. The Borough installed conduits in streets that were open for utility work for future underground wiring. On 83rd Street we have 80 percent homeowner participation putting the wires underground. The project might fail because the burden is falling on those who want it done. It will add about $3,000 to each homeowner. If the Borough is paying for those conduits can they also participate in paying for some of the cost for the wiring? We had no control over the new poles on 2nd Ave., but we do have control of the poles and wires on our streets.
