Ocean City - While driving at dusk Aug. 6 I almost killed several people. On two separate occasions, pedestrians bolstered by the revised "yield to pedestrians" strode right out in front of me. I was driving at or below the speed limit and was able to stop to avoid tragedies. When we were children, moms taught us to stop, look both ways and listen before stepping off the curb. Those rules have obviously become irrelevant. Pedestrians should share the responsibility for their own safety, especially in times of reduced visibility. This new law is ludicrous.
