Wildwood - If someone declares him or herself to be transgender, and we just have to take their word for it, can I declare myself to be of a different race? I've never felt comfortable calling myself the race others think I am. Would I fall under the protection of affirmative action and be eligible for government contracts and educational financial aid as a minority?
