Lower Township - Regarding the cost of gasoline: The cost of a gallon of gasoline is affected by supply and demand. The more we demand it, the more expensive it becomes. During covid-19, so many people were forced to work from home; so many children were forced to stay home from school, using a computer to connect to school online,; people shopped from home. Much less traffic on the roads, much less demand for gasoline, thus, lower gasoline prices. During the 1970’s oil embargo, speed limits changed to 55 mph on highways and less gasoline was burned. Now, most drivers have to get there yesterday.
