Del Haven - The NJ DEP is proposing regulations through executive order to regulate the Jersey Coast that will be devastating to our economic viability. The Governor based these new regulations (expand flood zones 5 feet based on a 17% probability estimate) on a 2019 Rutgers study of what might occur in 2100. Concerns include: impact on property owners and development, economic consequences for businesses, lack of transparency and input, and questionable scientific basis.
