Cape May - As a white female, I proudly voted for Barack Obama in both of his elections. I did not vote for him because he was a man or because he was black. I voted for him because he represented all that I hold dear, and because I strongly felt that he would be a President for ALL people. Recently he chastised young black men for buying into the misogynistic views of Donald Trump. He did not tell them to vote for Harris because she’s black. He told them not to fear voting for her because she’s a woman. I hope this election is based on character and fitness for office-not on gender and skin color.
