Avalon - The Republican Party platform proposes construction of a wall along the entire southern border of the U.S., approximately 3,000 miles of wall in addition to the 670 miles of fencing already in place along the Mexican border. Estimated cost: $15 to $20 billion. Plus about $1 billion in annual maintenance costs. Mexico is not going to pay for about 1,300 miles of wall along the rest of its border with the U.S., much less some 1,700 miles of wall that doesn't run along its border. Looks like the government is going to have to raise your taxes, folks.
