Cape May - Re. monstrous house on Queen & Kearney - apparent code violations (overall size, setbacks, height). The razed house was small on a large lot. The lot is now full with a 3 car garage neighboring classic cedar shake homes from 1900's. I recently spoke with a committee member who replied "this (project)never came before us". (How could that be? We all know what is said 'on the street'). As a National Landmark City, HPC guidelines apply citywide...including streetscape....how does a structure fit into the neighborhood. Who let this happen? Who is responsible? A public explanation is warrented.
