Ocean City - A recent accident off the coast of Nantucket, where a wind turbine blade fell into the water,shattered,and scattered debris along their beaches.These turbine blades are as long as a football field,this one broke apart into pieces and fell into the water as thousands of dangerous,jagged fiberglass fragments washed ashore along with hazardous lubricants and chemicals posing a serious threat to maritime navigation and local marine life,also beach closures.The Fed. gov't. ordered the operator of the wind farm to suspend operations.Imagine a storm like sandy tearing apart these turbines onto N.J.!
