Sea Isle City - Thank you to Sea Isle FD for wasting our tax dollars- again- first the boat now this! The engine purchased in 2018- the newest engine SIC had was purchased for $545,845. It was traded in for $160,000. The dealer has since sold it for $375,000. SIC lost $385,845 of tax payer money on this fire engine. The dealer earned $215K. The folk at FD loaded the engine with SIC taxpayer funded equipment to donate to the dept purchasing the truck. The dept in IN that purchased the truck has a budget tripling SIC's budget for the Fire Dept. Can't wait to hear the council explanation of this!
