Cape May Beach - Consider a geothermal heat pump if you are building a new home. Not only is geothermal far more efficient, the heat pump is located inside your home. It is shielded from the salt air and corrosion outdoor units suffer with in the salt environment. My neighbors replace their outdoor units every 5-7 years. My indoor geo unit is fifteen years old, running strong. Something to consider.
