North Cape May - To my neighbor who commented on my Spout about displaying our Nation’s flag on Juneteenth. I apologize for not being clear. I *do* display our flag 365 days a year. I put out *additional* flags to mark special days like Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Flag Day, the 4th of July, and so on. I think Juneteenth deserves to be included in the list of special days, because it marks the abolition of legalized slavery and its atrocities in our country. If this still makes me a weekend warrior - and not a real American - in your eyes, so be it, my friend.
