Whats is the deal with the Crest pickle ball courts?

Wildwood Crest - Whats is the deal with the Crest pickle ball courts? I thought the courts were for everyone not just experts. My friends and I were told by a man who said he was a regular to play on the old tennis courts because we were beginners. We had fun anyway, who cares what side of the courts we play on?
