Sea Isle City - The beach replenishment in SIC was absolutely necessary since there were no beaches left at high tide. However, the project has had the unintended result of producing a very dangerous shore break. The waves are no longer rolling in but instead crashing right at the shoreline. Uninformed tourists may put themselves at risk of spinal injuries because of the shore break condition. I urge the Mayor and Council to inform both residents and guests about the current potentially dangerous situation. As an aside, can’t the Army Corps Engineers anticipate the situation and avoid creating it?
