They change randomly every so many hours and the President DOES NOT have them on hand for reasons of "Plausible deniability". I was in the missile guidance field in the US Navy with a Top Secret clearance. All you people who think Trump will sell the codes to Putin, OR Biden to give them to China is just Ludicrous!! Also, Not 1 person can ever launch a Nuclear weapon. On a War ship it takes 3 people with different codes to do so. GROW UP people!
