Avalon - An Avalon Spouter warns that when the minimum wage reaches $20 an hour illegal aliens will take jobs from Americans because they will be willing to work for half that amount. Isn't there a fatal flaw in the Spouter's thinking? Perhaps we are missing something, but if the minimum is $20, or whatever the amount might be, won't employers be required to pay that wage to all workers, including the illegals? It's also true that quite often illegal immigrants take jobs that Americans don't want, won't take, so immigrants can't be accused of taking those jobs from Americans.
