Cape May - I believe Cape May changed forever when they planted grass in the beach and pumped up fake sand. You can not smell the beach like you used to. If you notice most locals don’t even go to the beach anymore. Cape May will never be the same, since the old buildings were torn down,, and you couldn’t jump off of the back of convention hall anymore,, I wish they would bring the real cape may back,, anyone agree ????
Moderator's Note:
The problem with the "real"Cape May is that one has to ask ,Which Cape May was the Real one? .Was the Cape MAy of the 1890's ,the !950's ,the !970's the real one ? Is today's Cape May the real one or some other version that is yet to come. Who Decides ? The citizens do that through their elected officials and like any organism ,it is in constant flux . Good luck with your beautiful city.
