I don't think lifeguards should get paid to participate in Life

Cape May - I don't think lifeguards should get paid to participate in Lifeguard Sporting Events. Should be on a volunteer basis. Just like the fireman getting paid to volunteer in NYC after 911. The fireman got paid, used city cars to get there. That is not right. I know guys who travelled to NYC on their own dime, in their own cars and did not get paid. They were true volunteers. I think the Van Dyke boats may have some uses but the surfboards are more practical and efficient.
