The main reasons cited for this taxpayer expense is crime and hundreds of thousands of tourists in hotels, campgrounds, and vehicles. If other communities put boots on the ground to ensure public safety, why is Dennis Township doing nothing and ignoring this reality? The constable position is on the books and could be reinstated tomorrow. DT residents deserve safety and security.
