Wildwood - Yes, after paying social security taxes for 58 years, I am collecting some of the money that I contributed all those years. I don’t know if I will live long enough to use all the money I contributed and the interest that money earned, not to mention all the money I contributed to Medicare. I don’t consider them entitlements; it is my money. I had many relatives and friends that also paid social security taxes and medicare taxes all their life, but sadly never lived long enough to collect. So before you talk about seniors taking advantage of entitlements, think again.
