Town Bank - I think the lawyers are going to have a field day with all of these town banning marijuana sales. Banning the sale of a product that is now legal is called discrimination, and is the same as banning any other legal product that can be sold. Should we allow towns to ban pharmacies, food stores or hardware stores? I realize the law as passed allows them to do this, but I believe that this aspect of the law will be successfully challenged. For the record, I agree with these towns, but my argument is that you can’t legalize a product, and then say it can’t be sold in a particular area. NIMBY?
